It has a handy tachymeter scale and black dial, the latter of which is detailed with a date window and luminous hour, minute and second counters. Named after the official pace car of the Indianapolis 500 during that time period, this stainless steel reference is powered by a hand-wound Valjoux 72 chronograph movement, arguably one of the finest and most reliable ever created, and has a distinctive cushion-shaped case that the label first introduced with this model.
