In the 1950s, Bauhaus-trained polymath Max Bill designed a slew of watches for Junghans, many of which are worn to this day. This 'Regulator' reference has a similar face to the original, with its matte dial, sleek typography and red hands. Set on a leather strap, it's made from stainless steel and houses a Swiss-made calibre J800.5 automatic movement – you can view it through the architectural case back. Bauhaus alum Max Bill has been touted as one of the great polymaths of the 20th century, and his stint at Junghans is perhaps the greatest example of 'Die Gute Form' – the philosophy of 'good design'. Based on a model from the mid-50s, this 'Max Bill Bauhaus' watch has a PVD-coated stainless steel case with a signature grid case back and is powered by a J800.1 automatic movement. This 'S Chronoscope' watch is the new sport model added to Junghans' signature 'Meister' collection. The case is made from brushed stainless steel that tapers towards the back for a refined finish, while sitting comfortably on the wrist. It's fitted with a matte dial outlined by a tachymeter scale and set with angular hands, the cutouts create the impression that the luminous inlays are floating when viewed in darkness.
