Needles designer Keizo Shimizu cites the tattoo on actor Steve McQueen's chest in the film Papillon as inspiration for the label's butterfly emblem. Embroidered with the motif on the thigh, these trousers are cut from cotton-canvas in a relaxed, straight-leg fit.
