Founded in 2013 by sisters Chiara and Giuliana Macchiavello; ESCVDO is inspired by and dedicated to the duo’s Peruvian heritage; focusing on ancestral weaving techniques with a modern take and ethical approach.An homage to the sea as it was interpreted by ancient Peruvians in drawings and textiles; the 'Marea' is knit from cotton using the “abanico stitch that mimics the waves of the ocean. It's been handmade by a single female artisan over a period of three weeks.
