This is a unique sherried take on Laphroaig's legendary 10 Year Old. The stalwart Laphroaig 10 Year Old is one of those unforgettable benchmark whiskies that deserves a place in every drinks cabinet. When you add a Sherry finish (for over 12 months in Oloroso casks) into the mix as well, then things get really exciting. Pronounced 'la-froyg', this massive and meaty malt has all the peat-burning kiln fires, seaweed, TCP, kippers, tar, crashing waves, lemon juice, stewed pear, smoked peppercorns, bonfires and mango liquorice of the original 10 Year Old, but now with the addition of dark chocolate, maple syrup, manuka honey, treacle, and smoky bacon. Distillery Manager John Campbell - who was born a mile and half from Laphroaig and has occupied practically every role at the distillery at some point - has created a stunner in Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish.
